Ludhiana, June 17
The district witnessed a total of 34 fresh Covid cases on Friday. After a gap of 12 days, one patient lost life to Covid-19 here
today. It was last on June 4 that a death was registered due to the virus in the district.
The number of active cases rose to 113. As many as 110 patients are in home isolation, while three patients are admitted to hospitals.
A total of 1,10,094 people have tested positive for the virus so far since March 2020, while 2,283 people have succumbed to the virus till now.
The recovery rate of Covid patients slipped to 97.82 per cent.
Till date, a total of 36,45,383 samples have been collected. Of this, 35,20,502 samples were found negative.
Samples of 4,223 suspected patients were sent for testing today. the results of which are expected shortly.
