Two theft cases were registered in the city in which valuables worth lakhs were stolen.

In the first incident, thieves targeted a farmhouse in Jhande village, South City, here, from where they decamped with electronic goods.

Complainant Aniket Anand told the police that his uncle owns a farmhouse in South City. Since his uncle had gone out of the town, it was lying locked.

On September 19, when he went to the farmhouse, he found the locks of

the room broken. Thieves had decamped with LED, a speaker and some other valuables, the complainant said.

Later, when the police conducted a probe, the thief was identified as Lakhvir Singh of Jhande.

In another incident, two employees of a courier company was booked by the Salem Tabri police on the charges of stealing mobile phones from the company.

The suspects have been identified as Ashok Kumar of Haryana and Lalan Kumar of Delhi.

Complainant Jagmohan Singh told the police that his company receives supply of products from Bluedart company which they further deliver to various locations. For the delivery, the company had a driver Ashok Kumar in the past, but he was removed from the job after some allegations of stealing products were received against him. Later, Lalan was employed as the driver. However, he was also involved in stealing mobile phones and other items. Investigation officer.
