New Delhi, July 27
The CBI has arrested former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad’s close aide Bhola Yadav in connection with the “land-for-jobs” scam in the Railways and conducted searches at multiple locations in Patna and Darbhanga in Bihar.
Officials said CBI sleuths conducted searches on four premises — two each in Darbhanga and Patna — belonging to Bhola, who was the officer on special duty to then Railway Minister Lalu Prasad between 2005 and 2009.
The officials said the CBI had also arrested a railway employee, Hridayanand Chaudhary, an alleged beneficiary of the scam.
Fondly known as “Hanuman” or the “shadow” of Prasad among RJD leaders and workers, Bhola was also questioned by the CBI in connection with the alleged scam.
