2.7K fined for not wearing mask in Patiala

Patiala, June 4

The district police challaned a total of 2,723 persons for not wearing protective masks and collected Rs7.86 lakh as fine. The police also issued 62 challans for spitting in public. SP (City) Varun Sharma said, “The police are on high alert to enforce curfew timings in the district. We have issued 11,147 challans and impounded 763 vehicles so far for violating traffic rules.”

SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu urged people to follow all safety protocols and cooperate with government officials.
