Patiala, September 5

The Centre for E-learning and Teaching Excellence (CELTE), Punjabi University, organised a special online programme on Teacher’s Day today. The programme was also relayed on a YouTube channel.

Professor BS Ghuman, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University while releasing e-report on best practices in online teaching said, “The university has been actively continuing its teaching and academic activities during Covid-19 through various online platforms.” Dr Suresh Kumar, nodal in-charge, ‘Ek Bharat Sareshth Bharat’, Punjabi University, expressed his views about “Human values in education”. “Teaching is a sacred profession where human values can never be ignored,” he said.

Dr Gurdeep Singh Batra, Director, CELTE, said, “The centre is taking all possible measures to facilitate online teaching.” — TNS
