Minimum temperatures below normal in Punjab, Haryana

CHANDIGARH: The minimum temperatures hovered a few notches below normal limits at most places in Punjab and Haryana on Sunday, the MeT department said.

The minimum temperatures hovered a few notches below normal limits at most places in Punjab and Haryana on Sunday, the MeT department said.

In Punjab, Amritsar was the coldest at a minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Bathinda (4.7), Adampur (4.8), Faridkot (5.8), Halwara (6.8), Gurdaspur (7), Ludhiana (8.2) and Patiala (8.5), the weatherman said.

Union Territory Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, recorded a minimum temperature of 7.4 degrees Celsius, a Meteorological department official said.

At a low of 3.6 degrees Celsius, Narnaul in Haryana was the coldest place in the state. It was followed by Hisar (5.4), Karnal (5.6), Rohtak and Bhiwani (6.7 each) and Ambala (7.9). — PTI
