Punjabi University seeks clarity on Rs 200-cr grant

Patiala: Punjabi University, Patiala, on Monday questioned the state government’s announcement of grant of Rs 200 crore for the crisis-ridden university and sought clarity.

The university tweeted: “We need Rs 240 crore as salary grant and Rs 150 crore to clear the loan. What does Rs 200 crore mean? The details are awaited.” VC Professor Arvind said the allocation was not clear.
