Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar on Wednesday said the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission report would bring out the truth regarding the role of the Badals in the police firing and sacrilege cases in the coming session of the Assembly.
Addressing a state-level function here to commemorate the martyrdom day of Goa liberation movement leader Karnail Singh Issru, Jakhar flayed the Akali Dal for its “pol khol” rallies, saying rather their “wrongdoings” would come to the fore in the session.
Jakhar also lashed out at AAP and alleged that some AAP leaders were behind Referendum 2020. He said AAP was now a divided house and the people of the state had rejected them.
He declared a grant of Rs1 crore for the development of Issru village and also announced a job to a member of Issru’s family.
Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa called upon residents to assist the government in winning the war against drugs. He said the panchayat elections would be held soon and women would be given 50 per cent reservation.
