Cookery contest on the occasion of International Chefs Day

On the occasion of International Chefs Day on October 20, Goa based V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) is organising a competition inviting young aspirational chefs to submit their recipes and show off their culinary skills.

Submissions are invited from students of Class XII from Goa as well as other states across the country.

Participants should prominently use two key ingredients — carrots and flax seeds in their culinary creations.

"This year's International Chefs Day campaign theme is Healthy Food for the Future! We at VMSIIHE have incorporated the same theme in our competition. Competitions such as these offer students an opportunity to create nutritious, healthy meal options which in turn promote healthy eating habits,” said Chef Sebastian Breitinger, Professor Culinary Arts at the institute.

To qualify for an entry into the contest participants should submit the recipe along with a photograph of the prepared dish as well as a short video of the preparation process.

Submissions can be sent to  [email protected] on or before October 24, 2020.
