Birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri were celebrated with enthusiasm. The teachers and students paid floral tributes to both the leaders. Students presented a colorful cultural programme that included patriotic songs, dance performances and inspiring plays. They also recited poems and delivered speeches to highlight the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle. Students took a pledge to make India clean and green. The Principal said that Mahatma Gandhi has set a fine example of achieving success and treading the path of truth and non-violence.
MDAV School, Chandigarh
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with patriotic zeal. Integrity and Peace Club and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav organised various activities based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi like poster making, slogan writing and role play. Tiny tots also showcased their artistic skills by making charkha, spectacles of Gandhi etc. Students of senior classes also participated in speech competition, poem recitation. They also pledged to follow the path of "Ahimsa".
CLDAV Senior Public School, Panchkula
To mark Gandhi Jayanti, students paid homage to the Father of the Nation by making charkha and caps. They dressed up like Gandhi and delivered speeches on the importance of non-violence and truth. They also prepared slogans and made craft items using sugar crystals/ bank notes.
Mount Carmel School, Mohali
Federation of Private Schools and Associations of Punjab organised a national-level function to honour teachers on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Parminder Kaur, school's Maths teacher, was given a trophy and a certificate.
Delhi Public School, Ambala
The school celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the pioneer of India's freedom struggle, and Lal Bahadur Shastri, nation's second Prime Minister. The school commemorated their selfless service to the country by holding different competitions. Tiny tots of Nursery and Prep were dressed up as Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Primary Wing students showcased their talent by making charkha using popsicle sticks and the caps worn by these two leaders using origami. Senior students made a collage on news and articles published on them during freedom struggle. Principal Amita Dhaka appreciated the efforts put in by the students.
