Mr. Gandhi’s Birthday.

MAHATMA  Gandhi’s 50th birthday will be celebrated in Bombay on Sunday next and it is announced that the Bhagini Samaj of Bombay, composed of leading ladies of the city, are going to present him with a purse in honour of the golden jubilee of the life of this great son of India. In the course of an appeal for contributions the Samaj says that it would be impossible to estimate the value of the good work of the Mahatmaji but they know that any purse presented would be utilised for public purposes. We are sure that other cities and towns in India would be equally enthusiastic in celebrating the birthday of Mahatmaji.
