Amritsar: The inaugural chess torch relay of the 44th Chess Olympiad, which is being held in India for the first time with the participation of chess players from 190 countries, reached Attari border on Thursday. In the hands of Grand Master Deep Sen Gupta, it was welcomed by the officials of Punjab Government, District Administration, National Institute of Sports, players, students, volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra and Punjab State Chess Association. Students of Khalsa College performed bhangra on the occasion. The DC returned the torch to Grand Master Deep Sen Gupta and it left for Kurukshetra.
