Girl abducted, four booked

TARN TARAN: Four persons, including three members of a family, have been booked for allegedly abducting a teenage girl from Tung village, falling under Harike police station.

Four persons, including three members of a family, have been booked for allegedly abducting a teenage girl from Tung village, falling under Harike police station. The incident occurred a week ago and the case was registered on Saturday. ASI Palwinder Singh, investigating officer, said the accused were identified as Jagjit Singh, his father Major Singh and mother Sukho of Kada Baura (Ferozepur). Their fourth accomplice is yet to be identified. The ASI said Jagjit Singh and the unidentified person lured the girl away with a marriage promise. The accused are absconding, the police said.
