Poll officials hold meeting

Amritsar: District election officials held a meeting with representatives of political parties to discuss the matter of changing names of polling booths on Monday. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Himanshu Aggarwal, who chaired the meeting, said, “Representations were received to change the name of some polling booths across the district. Man arrested with pistol

Tarn Taran: A team of the local CIA staff, led by ASI Charanjit Singh, has recovered .315 bore country-made pistol and a cartridge from the possession of Karaj Singh, alias Nihang, of Bhai Ladhu village. The ASI said a case under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act had been registered against the accused at Patti Sadar police station. OC
