AMRITSAR: The city railway station got a new platform on Wednesday. BJP’s state president and Rajya Sabha MP Shwait Malik was present on the occasion. Now, the railway station has seven platforms.

Amritsar, November 14

The city railway station got a new platform on Wednesday.

BJP’s state president and Rajya Sabha MP Shwait Malik was present on the occasion. Now, the railway station has seven platforms.

Malik said another platform would be commissioned on December 10 at the railway station. He said development projects worth Rs200 crore are being carried out to provide new facilities at the city and Chheharta railway station.

After reviewing development projects at the city railway station, Malik said during his two years tenure as MP, he had increased the numbers of platforms and two more washing lines would be added in a year.

Besides, a modern electronic new ticket delivery system window (fully air conditioned), two accelerators and five lifts have been installed at the city railway station. — TNS
