Residents of Vallah submitted a complaint against the local gurdwara management committee to the SGPC here today.

Alleging gross misappropriation of devotees’ donation, they demanded a thorough inquiry of the accounts of Gurdwara Kotha Sahib located in Sultanwind village.

Paramjit Singh, a resident of Vallah, said the complaint was handed over to SGPC Additional Secretary Diljit Singh Bedi.

He alleged that one Jobanjit Singh had been misappropriating gurdwara funds without any fear. “No receipt was issued for the money received for performing ‘akhand path’, ‘sehaj path’, Sukhmani Sahib path or even ‘anand karaj’. He has also been involved in siphoning off funds meant for gurdwara building construction in connivance with other committee members,” he said.

Another complainant, Manjinder Singh, said fake bills were procured against gurdwara purchase. “We demand a transparent inquiry into it,” he added.
