Man killed in road mishap

AMRITSAR: A man was killed in a road mishap near the bus stand here yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Bindeshwar, a resident of Bela Aurangabad in Bihar. He was putting up at Jawahar Nagar on Mehta Road.

A man was killed in a road mishap near the bus stand here yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Bindeshwar, a resident of Bela Aurangabad in Bihar. He was putting up at Jawahar Nagar on Mehta Road.

Mukesh Kumar Yadav, nephew of the deceased, told the police that he had gone to the Kanyia market and saw many people were gathered at a place.

On being enquired, he came to known that a car had hit his uncle, who died on the spot, he added.

A case under Sections 304-A and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered in this regard.
