AMRITSAR: Shopkeepers near the Hall Gate had a narrow escape after a truck went out of control and crushed over 10 two-wheelers here on Friday.

Shopkeepers near the Hall Gate had a narrow escape after a truck went out of control and crushed over 10 two-wheelers here on Friday. A shopkeeper, identified as Sonu, sustained injuries in the incident. He was rushed to a hospital.

According to information, the driver of the truck reportedly had a fit and he could not control the truck. Police authorities said they were investigating the case and the medical examination of the driver was being conducted.

The incident led to a panic in the area. The truck was going from Hall Gate to Hathi Gate. The incident occurred near the Powercom office. Several scooters and bikes were parked on the roadside. The area has a number of auto-repair shops.
