Agri Dept to prepare soil fertility map

Muktsar: The Agriculture Department has initiated the process of preparing the soil fertility map of the district. HS Sra, ADC (D),  said the administration was testing 16,115 samples of soil for this purpose. He directed officials to speed up the process. “Officials have been asked to issue the maximum number of soil health cards to farmers. Besides, they have been told to educate them about its importance,” he said.— TNS
