Educationist passes away

Bathinda: Eminent educationist Prof SK Bhatia, who was a founder faculty member and former head, Department of History, DAV College, Bathinda, passed away at the age of 82 following a prolonged illness. A prolific writer of a number of books on history, Prof Bhatia with over 40 years of teaching experience, was widely acclaimed for his commitment and dedication to the cause of education. His former colleagues, students, staff members of DAV College, representatives of various social, political and religious organisations attended his cremation at Ram Bagh on Thursday.
