BATHINDA: The second day of the ongoing three-day circle-style kabaddi tournament at DAV College, Bathinda, witnessed some exciting matches.

The second day of the ongoing three-day circle-style kabaddi tournament at DAV College, Bathinda, witnessed some exciting matches. The tournament is being organised by Punjabi University, Patiala.

In the first match of day, the boys’ team of DAV College, Bathinda, defeated Aklia Degree College, Aklia Kalan. In the second match, Guru Nanak College, Budhlada, beat Guru Teg Bahadur College, Bhawanigarh.

Government Rajindra College lost its both matches of the day in boys’ category. In the first match, Akal College of Physical Education, Mastuana, beat Government Rajindra College, while in the second match hosts DAV College Bathinda, walked away with win.

Physical Education College, Mastuana, also won their second match and defeated Guru Nanak College, Budhlada.

In girls’ category, Guru Nanak College, Budhlada, defeated Government Rajindra College, Bathinda.

Akal College of Physical Education, Mastuana, beat Physical College, Jhunir. After losing their first match, the girls’ team of Physical Education College, Jhunir, made a strong comeback and dubbed Government Rajindra College, Bathinda.

Gurwinder Singh Dhillon, secretary, Jatt Maha Sabha Punjab, was the chief guest of the morning session on the day. He also awarded the college with Rs 10,000.

Iqbal Singh Dhillon, Secretary Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, was the chief guest of the evening session. He praised the college management for successfully organising the tournament and awarded the college with Rs 11,000.

Prof PK Verma, Om Parkash Sharma, Harbans Singh, Harjinder Singh Zinda, Amrinder Singh and Bikkar Singh Brar were also present on the occasion.
