Literary-cultural fest ends on colourful note

BATHINDA: The annual mega Literary-Cultural-Technical festival, TARANNUM-2018, concluded on a colourful note at Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology (GZSCCET), Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda Campus.

The annual mega Literary-Cultural-Technical festival, TARANNUM-2018, concluded on a colourful note at Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology (GZSCCET), Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda Campus.

The fest consisted of various technical events, creative competitions and talent-oriented cultural performances. Students celebrated the spirit of life by performing in various cultural and social events in various dimensions of performing arts. Fashion show, skits, songs, dances, rap, band performance and bhangra were main the attractions of the event.

In solo dance (boys) Rajan Kumar got the first prize and Siddarth Tomar second prize. In solo dance (girls), Soni Joshi got the first prize and Ritika second prize. In light Indian vocal, Jasveer Kaur got first prize and Panney Lal got second prize.

In folk singing, Sumit got the first prize and Simarndeep singh got second prize. In duet dance, Harmandeep Singh and Arshdeep Kaur jointly got first prize, while Lovely and Jashan jointly got second prize.

On the concluding day, Bathinda Military Station Chief Engineer Brig RK Sachdeva was the chief guest, who released the souvenir for Tarannum-2018.

In his inspirational speech, while highlighting the contribution of such techno-cultural events towards the shaping of young minds and their personality, Scahdeva motivated the students to participate in co-curricular activities for their overall development.

GZSCCET, Campus Director, Prof Gursharan Singh emphasized the importance of achievement of the organisational skills through participation in these activities.

Prof RK Bansal, Dean (Students Welfare), MRSPTU, congratulated the students, participants, winners of various events and the organizers for the successful conduct of this grand techno-cultural fete and fest. In the end, the chief guest and other dignitaries gave away the prizes to winners.
