An assistant professor of the Management Department of Gurukul College has lodged a complaint with the police against the college management for not disbursing her salary. The assistant professor also demanded action against the Margining Director (MD) of the college.
Complainant Anjali said she asked the management to release her advance salary, which is around Rs 47,000.
She said her marriage was fixed for December 12 and she required money to meet various necessities for her marriage. Anjali alleged that she was mentally harassed by Bhushan Goyal, MD of the college, and refused to disburse her salary despite repeated requests.
She lodged a complaint through the police helpline 181. Anjali further added that the policemen called her at the Canal Colony police station a few days ago where Goyal assured to release the salary before her marriage but nothing was done in this regard.
The complainant lamented that the college authorities usurped the money and caused her harassment. The assistant professor said she was forced to knock the door of the court to get her salary.
When the matter was taken up, Shardev Singh, former principal of the college, said, “I left the college around seven months ago as my salary of around Rs 2 lakh was not released by the management. There are others persons who also did not get the salary. I have no idea how the management is running the college without paying the salary to its employees.”
The former principal said he had also filed a police case in this regard against the MD in a cheque bounce case. Either he will pay the money or will have to face a court case, he added.
When MD Bhushan Goyal was contacted on the issue, he said, “I have released Rs 27,000 to the assistant professor and Rs 20,000 is still pending, which will be paid in two or three days or so.”
