Veenu Badal gives away scholarship money to students

BATHINDA: Finance Minister Manpreet Badal’s wife Veenu Badal on Tuesday initiated a scholarship scheme for students, who belong to financially weak families, to pursue their education.

Finance Minister Manpreet Badal’s wife Veenu Badal on Tuesday initiated a scholarship scheme for students, who belong to financially weak families, to pursue their education.

The funds under the scholarship scheme would be provided by Dr Mona Singh, who is a childhood friend of Veenu Badal

Dr Mona lives in New York City. She is a doctor by profession.

Under the scheme, the needed student, who is bright in studies and are facing financial problems, will get Rs1,000 per month.

This week, scholarship money was handed over to the first batch of students or their parents.

Veenu Badal interacted with students before handing over the scholarship cheques.

She advised them to keep up their grades and to aspire for higher studies.
