Bizman robbed of Rs 68,000 at knife-point

CHANDIGARH: Two unidentified miscreants today looted Rs 68,000 and an iPhone from a businessman at knife-point at the Kali Bari light point near Sector 47.

Two unidentified miscreants today looted Rs 68,000 and an iPhone from a businessman at knife-point at the Kali Bari light point near Sector 47.

Sources said the victim, Raman Nagpal, a resident of Sector 23, who owns Vishal Motors in Panchkula, had gone to the motor market in Sector 48 to collect a payment from his manager.

After collecting the payment, the victim left for his office in Panchkula.

The sources said a tyre of the victim’s car got deflated near the Kali Bari light point following which he got down to change it. Soon, two miscreants came near him and one of them threatened him with a knife while the second sat in the car and took away the cash and a mobile phone lying there.

The accused then fled from the spot. The victim informed his manager about the incident through another mobile phone.

After changing the car tyre, the victim approached the Sector 31 police. Acting on his complaint, the police registered a case against the unknown miscreants.
