Body found hanging in Sec 53 forest area

A 30-year-old labourer reportedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree at the forest area in Sector 53 here on Friday. No suicide note was recovered from the spot.

Passersby saw the victim hanging and informed the police around 5.30 pm.

A police team reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.

The victim was identified as Dharmendra, a native of Uttar Pradesh. The victim, who worked as a labourer, was staying alone in the city.

The police said there were no injury marks on the victim’s body.

His kin have been informed about the incident.

The body has been kept at the mortuary of the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, the police said.
