Gas distribution bidding round roadshow held

CHANDIGARH: The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) organised its 13th roadshow for ninth city gas distribution (CGD) bidding round here on Friday.

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) organised its 13th roadshow for ninth city gas distribution (CGD) bidding round here on Friday.

As a major step in the area of distribution of natural gas across India, the board has offered 86 geographical areas in the ninth CGD bidding round.

The 9th bidding round has three geographical areas on offer in Punjab, covering districts of Patiala, SAS Nagar, Sangrur, Barnala, Ludhiana, Moga, Jalandhar, Kapurthala and SBS Nagar.

In Haryana, the districts being covered are Panchkula, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Hisar, Jhajjar, Jind, Sonepat, Nuh and Palwal while in Himachal Pradesh, Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Una districts are being covered.

PNGRB member SS Chahar said it was a big initiative towards providing clean energy to the users in the northern states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and the union territory of Chandigarh.
