Increase MBBS seats at GMCH, Tandon urges Nadda

CHANDIGARH: City BJP president Sanjay Tandon has written to Union Health Minister JP Nadda urging him to increase the seats for the MBBS course in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32.

City BJP president Sanjay Tandon has written to Union Health Minister JP Nadda urging him to increase the seats for the MBBS course in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32.

Tandon wrote, “The number of MBBS aspirants has increased in the country, including Chandigarh. The UT has only one medical college (GMCH) offering 100 MBBS seats. The college has adequate facilities to train nearly 150 MBBS students per year. We request you to instruct the Medical Council of India to increase the MBBS seats to 150 in the college.”
