Chandigarh, July 13

A melodious rendition by the Nooran Sisters left the audience spell-bound at the GMCH-32 auditorium on Friday. The programme was organised by the Chandigarh Press Club to mark 38th foundation day.

The club management welcomed Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion.

Addressing mediapersons, hereminded them of the challenges and responsibilities of the press in the time of social media. The CM gave a cheque for Rs 25 lakh for the club.

Later, Jyoti Nooran and Sultana Nooran struck a right chord with divine Sufi utterances of Baba Bulleh

Shah. They presented “Allah hoo ha awaza aawe..”, followed by “Nit khair manga”,

“Tera rabb ton bhi sohna deedar”, and many more.They interspersed the compositions with soothing couplets from other mystics, much to the delight of the audience.
