Chandigarh, May 19
In a freak accident, a Swift car and an auto were crushed after a speeding tempo that was hit by an SUV tossed into the air and fell on the vehicles at the Industrial Area, Phase I, today. Nobody was injured in the accident.
Sources said the car and the auto were parked along the road at the market near the Industrial Area. The tempo that was going towards the police station was hit by a speeding SUV. Such was the impact of the collision that the tempo tossed into the air and fell on the car and the auto.
A tea vendor and some passersby had a narrow escape. The police said the vehicle owners had reached a compromise after the SUV owner agreed to compensate them. — TNS
