PU prof chosen for the best scientist award

CHANDIGARH: Prof Harminder Pal Singh, Department of Environment Studies, PU, has been selected for Annual “Shiv Nath Rai Kohli Memorial Mid-Career Best Scientist Award” for the year 2018 in recognition to his research contribution in the field of Biological/ Life Sciences.



Chandigarh, April 11

Prof Harminder Pal Singh, Department of Environment Studies, PU, has been selected for Annual “Shiv Nath Rai Kohli Memorial Mid-Career Best Scientist Award” for the year 2018 in recognition to his research contribution in the field of Biological/ Life Sciences. The result was announced today in a meeting chaired by Prof Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, PU.

The PU instituted this award in the year 2017 comprising cash prize of Rs 1, 00,000. This year, 33 applications were received and committee short listed candidates based on the h-index, Citation Scores (Scopus), Field Weightage Citation Impact (FWCI) and also the work done in India. — TNS
