CHANDIGARH: The last date for online registration for various centralised courses in city colleges has been extended.

Chandigarh, June 27

The last date for online registration for various centralised courses in city colleges has been extended. Candidates can now register online for BBA, BCA, BSc (medical, non-medical and IT), MSc-IT and MCom by June 30. The registration was to close today but has been extended till June 30.

Starting this year, the admissions to these courses has been centralised and each college has been assigned a course for which they will conduct admissions. The college will be allotted to them on merit basis. The admissions will begin on July 10. While counselling for BBA, BCA and MSc (IT) will be held in Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College  (GGDSD- 32), for BSc and biotechnology will take place in DAV-10. Counselling for BSc (Non-medical ICS/ITI computer application) will take place in Guru Gobind Singh College of Education (Women), Sector 26, and MCom in Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 50.

BSc (Non- Medical) more popular than medical

A comparison between the number of applications received for various courses, BSc (Non-Medical) seems to be more popular than BSc (Medical). As of today, 3,545 applications were received for BSc (Non-Medical) while 2,302 applications were received for BSc (Medical). As many as 2,760 applications have been received till date for BBA while for BCA, the number stands 

at 1,644.
