NIKHIL:Chandigarh: Prabhat Jogi and Rohit Bhatti of DAV College, Sector 10, have won silver medals in the 26th Senior National Wushu Championship held at Shillong.



Chandigarh: Prabhat Jogi and Rohit Bhatti of DAV College, Sector 10, have won silver medals in the 26th Senior National Wushu Championship held at Shillong. Prathiba of Post Graduate Government Girls College, Sector 42, won a bronze medal in the Taolu category. Jogi won the silver medal in the 70kg category, while Bhatti finished second in the 85kg weight category. — TNS

Badminton c’ship from Oct 30 

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Badminton Association will organise the State Sub-Junior Badminton Championships in the U-13, U-15 and U-17 categories from October 30 to November 2 at Shivalik Public School, Sector 41. The interested players can register for the event at Sector 7 Badminton Hall, Sector 42 Badminton Hall 

or at the tournament venue from October 17, the organisers said here on Monday. As per the Badminton Association of India norms, all the sub-junior players need to submit valid birth certificates along with their entry forms. — TNS

Nikhil, Himanshu win gold

Panchkula: Students of Sky World School here clinched six gold medals in the Taekwondo Khel Mahakumbh. Nikhil, Himanshu, Bhumit, Vanshika, Aranaya, Tanzil won gold medals in various weight categories during the competition. — TNS

Lawyers log 7-wicket win

Chandigarh: Ludhiana Lawyers defeated Moga by seven wickets in the ongoing Layers Cricket League here. Batting first, Moga scored 110 runs in 17.3 overs with Angad (36) and Rushal (21) making vital contributions to the total. For the bowling side, Varinder took three wickets. In reply, Ludhiana Lawyers reached home in 13 overs with seven wickets to spare. SP Sharma scored a quick-fire 41. — TNS
