Saket, Rahul pedal to gold

CHANDIGARH: Saket bagged the gold in the men''s elite 31.1kms race of the Shivalik-II Monsoon Edition Cycle Race. Saket clocked 58 minutes and one second to bag the top spot. He was closely followed by Aakershait Pathak, who claimed the second position in 58 minutes and two seconds. Ashish Kadian claimed the third spot in 58 minutes and four seconds.

Saket bagged the gold in the men's elite 31.1kms race of the Shivalik-II Monsoon Edition Cycle Race. Saket clocked 58 minutes and one second to bag the top spot. He was closely followed by Aakershait Pathak, who claimed the second position in 58 minutes and two seconds. Ashish Kadian claimed the third spot in 58 minutes and four seconds. 

In the men's elite MTC 31.1kms category, Rahul Dahiya emerged fastest with a timing of 59 minutes, 45 seconds. Akash Bhat finished second in 59 minutes, 48 seconds, while Vijay Parkash claimed the third position in one hour, 10 seconds.

Jai Dogra claimed the gold in the boys' U-17 category. Dogra completed the 31.1kms race in one hour, three minutes and 40 seconds. Ashutosh Sharma claimed the second position in one hour, three minutes and 48 seconds. Kabir Kalra claimed the third position in one hour, 10 minutes and 45 seconds. 

In the MTB category of the same age group, Madhav Datta came first with a timing of one hour, four minutes and five seconds. He was closely followed by Raman Manhas, who finished second one hour, four minutes and six seconds. 

In the women's elite 31.1kms race, Misha Brar won the top honour in one hour, 11 minutes. Urvashi Khurana finished second in one hour, 13 minutes. Neelima Pasrija claimed the third position with timing of one hour, 15 minutes and 30 seconds. A total of 29 riders participated in various events of the championship.

In the men masters' category, Inderjeet Bajwa completed the race in one hour, 1 minute and 45 seconds to claim the top spot. Justice Sat Pal finished at the second position in one hour, 10 minutes, while Manjit claimed the third spot.—TNS
