Panchkula: Founder chairman of Satluj Group of Schools, Panchkula, Pritam Singh Serai, received the Lifetime Achievement Award alongwith three teachers of the school Manoj K Singh, Arti Anand and Poonam Krishnatray. The event was organised by Sahodaya School Complex, Panchkula. The award was presented by the CBSE Regional Officer, RJ Khanderao. OC

Stepping Stones School

Chandigarh: An annual computer carnival was organised by Koshish Educators’ Forum at Stepping Stones Senior Secondary School, Sector 37. As many as 20 schools participated in the mega event. Stepping Stones International bagged the first place, Saupin's School, Mohali, stood second and DAV School, Sector 8, came third in in the MS paint competition. In the MS Word poster making competition, Shivalik School, Mohali, bagged the first place, Guru Nanak Public School stood second and Shri Guru Harkrishan Model School came third. In the Power Point presentation, Smart Wonders School, Mohali, bagged the first place, St Annes Convent School stood second and St Xavier’s, Panchkula, won the third position. In the web designing competition, Chitkara International School bagged the first place, St Annes Convent School  came second and Smart Wonders School, Mohali, stood third. In the blog creation competition, St Annes Convent School bagged the first place, St Joseph Sr. Sec. School  came second and St Soldier International Convent School stood third. In the quiz competition, St Joseph Sr. Sec. School bagged the first place, Guru Nanak Public School stood second and St Soldier International Public School was placed at the third spot. OC

KBDAV School

Chandigarh: As a part of the on-going Wildlife Week Celebrations, nearly 150 students of KBDAV, Sector 7, visited the forest behind Sukhna Lake. Besides trekking and cycling, students learnt about the biodiversity , including the rich flora and fauna of the region. Director Environment and Chief Conservator of Forests and Wildlife, Chandigarh Administration,  Dabendra Dalai,  who was the chief guest on the occasion, flagged off the cycle rally and trekkers in the city forest. Students enthusiastically trekked in the officially designated forest area. OC

AKSIPS-125 Smart School

Kharar: An inter-house quiz competition was held at the AKSIPS-125 Smart School for Classes IV and V. The quiz was divided into rapid fire, need a hint and guess what rounds. Every round had a mixed bag questions related to Gandhiji’s life and non-violence. Shake-speare House stood first, while Tagore House and Iqbal  House bagged the second and third position, respectively, in the competition. OC

The Gurukul Global School

Chandigarh: The Gurukul Global School welcomed delegates from  schools in the vicinity for the cultural event. The chief guest for the day was Chairman, Haryana Public Service Commission, Manbir Singh Bhadana. The opening ceremony saw a jam-packed auditorium with delegates from more than 250 schools attending the three-day event. A scintillating dance performance by the host school left everyone mesmerised. OC

Blue Bird High School

Panchkula: Two days inter-school robotics competition was held at Blue Bird High School. Around 200 students from various schools of the tricity participated in the event, which included web designing, IT quiz, robo rescue, royal rumble, race race, tug-of-war,  and robo fight. Chief guests of the event were IG, Punjab Police, AK Pandey,  and RJs  Lakha and Rishi . OC

Bhavan Junior School 

Chandigarh: Bhavan Vidyalaya Junior celebrated Grandparents Day with grandeur. Songs, dances, games and medical check-up session accompanied by refreshments ensured an exciting and wholesome rendezvous for the elderly at the celebrations. Medicinal saplings were distributed to all grandparents as a token of remembrance. OC

The Sky World School

Panchkula: Students of grade II  visited Kotak Mahindra Bank and interacted with employees, who provided them information regarding functions, working of the bank, ATM machine and cards. Students were also shown bank lockers where the money is kept safely. OC
