Two city youths to attend fest in Russia

CHANDIGARH: Two members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Chandigarh unit, will represent the country at the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi (Russia) from October 14 to 22.

Two members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Chandigarh unit, will represent the country at the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi (Russia) from October 14 to 22.

Amandeep Singh and Yajjur Sood have bagged the honours. Amandeep said, “This programme is being organised since 1947 by the World Federation of Democratic Youth which is an NGO recognised by United Nations. The main purpose of this festival is to bring together the youth of socialist and capitalist countries on a common platform to promote cooperation and ending war in the world.”—TNS
