Gang of illicit arms dealers busted, one held

NEW DELHI: The Anti-auto theft squad (AATS) of Dwarka has busted an inter-state gang from Uttar Pradesh involved in supplying illegal arms of different calibers in Delhi-NCR, said a police official.

The Anti-auto theft squad (AATS) of Dwarka has busted an inter-state gang from Uttar Pradesh involved in supplying illegal arms of different calibers in Delhi-NCR, said a police official.

One person has been arrested and 28 pistols of different calibers have been seized from his possession. The weapons were manufactured with high proficiency, skills and precision, making it extremely difficult for anyone to identify the imitation, said the official.

The gang was operating for the past six months and has supplied more than 350 illegal pistols to various gangsters of NCR, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

 A close watch and surveillance was mounted over the suspected persons, said the official.

Yesterday on specific information Mohd Intezar was arrested during the delivery of the consignment, said the DCP Dwarka.
