NEW DELHI:The police arrested a graduate-turned snatcher-cum-robber on August 31.

The police arrested a graduate-turned snatcher-cum-robber on August 31. The accused has been identified as Suraj aka Fighter (26).   He has been involved in more than 30 cases. A .315 bore country-made pistol, a stolen motorcycle and two high-end mobile phones were recovered from him, said the police.

Interestingly, he was a two-time national gold medallist in taekwondo and had participated in a renowned TV reality singing show, where he made it to top 50 contestants, the police said.

Earlier, he was arrested in Janakpuri in 2014 for stealing 49 mobile phones.
