Dehradun, December 8

Irked over the non-release of merit list for evening classes, the agitated students locked the office of Principal Devender Bhasin at DAV college, here today.

Raising anti-management slogans, the students demanded the release of merit list for the evening classes at the earliest. “Around 6,000 students had filled the application forms for the evening classes. While, the last date for the submission of application forms was December 4. The merit list of the shortlisted candidates was to be released on December 6, but nothing has been done so far,” said the students.

“The college has cancelled the admission of nearly 150 students for morning classes. The administration is playing with the future of nearly 6,000 students, who had applied for the evening classes. There is no time left for the final examinations and by delaying the admission, the college management is destroying the future of students,” they added. Divaker Dubey, Balam Singh, Mohit Negi, Shivam Updhyaya along with several others participated in the demonstartion.
