The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has condemned the decision of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to provide compensation to stone-throwers in the Kashmir valley.

ABVP state secretary and central working committee member Varsha Jandial along with other office-bearers while briefing the media today alleged that youths who were directly supporting the terrorism movement and disturbing the healthy environment of the state should not be treated with any courtesy.

“In fact, these people are encouraging students to throw stones and get compensation. It seems that the government is launching a new recruitment policy which follows the steps as: Come, throw stones, destroy the nation’s property and finally get compensation and a job,” Varsha Jandial said.

She said compensation should be provided to the innocents not the destroyers. The government should not take any step that hurt the nationalism of the youth and it should not show any courtesy to those who dare to disturb the state with their ‘anti- nationalistic’ approach, she added.
