The state BJP today submitted a memorandum to Governor KK Paul demanding action against the Congress government for breach of secrecy of the Cabinet meeting as Parliamentary Secretary Vijaypal Singh Sajwan was present there.

Uttarakhand BJP general secretary Naresh Bansal and other party leaders submitted the memorandum to the Governor. “We have objected to the presence of Vijaypal Singh Sajwan in the Cabinet meeting held yesterday. He should not have been present. He is not a full Cabinet minister,” said Bansal.

He added the secrecy of the Cabinet meeting was violated due to Sajwan’s presence. “He has been designated with the rank of a Cabinet minister for the purpose of according facilities,” said Bansal.

Yesterday, Sajwan was a special invitee to the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Harish Rawat.
