Sat Paul Mittal School organised a career-counselling session for the students of Classes IX to XII to dispel their qualms regarding the foreign education. Four universities were invited to brief the students about the criterion for the admission in Monash University from Australia, San Jose State University from the USA, Fanshawe College from Canada and the University of Bridgeport from the USA. The students were made aware of the scholarships being offered by the universities.

Science exhibition held

A science week was organised by Blossoms Convent School. All models and projects made by the students were displayed at the exhibition. Rabinder Nath house got the first position and Kalpana Chawla, APJ Kalam house, Pratibha house secured second, third and fourth positions, respectively. Amarjeet Kaur Naaz, school Principal, showered blessings on the students.

40 years of excellence celebrated

More than 1,500 primary students of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, attended the event ‘BCM @40’. Students made a ‘Formation’ to portray the sense of continuity and the march towards ‘World Peace’. Students dressed as Swami Dayanand Saraswati showcased their impulse to revive the vedic roots. Principal Paramjit Kaur said, "Our journey is an ongoing process. We customise our aims and methods to the global demands and challenges, with a genuine emphasis on values and awareness”.

Students celebrate Earth Day

Students of primary wing of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, celebrated the Earth Day. Students planted saplings in pots. They raised environment-friendly slogans under the guidance of their teachers. School Principal Harmeet Kaur Waraich flagged off the awareness rally. Holding placards and posters depicting their concern for green and clean environment, they passed from senior and middle section of the school.

Investiture organised

The investiture was organised at Guru Nanak Public School, Mullanpur. School Head Boy, Head Girl, School House Captains and Vice-Captains, School Sports Captains were given sashes and badges. All office-bearers were called to the stage for introduction and the formal swearing-in ceremony.

Graduation ceremony held

Everest Public Senior Secondary School, Moti Nagar, conducted a graduation ceremony for pre-primary and primary students. Students gave away cheerful performances and torch-bearer awards were given to students who demonstrated leadership skill and all-round excellence throughout the year. Rajinder Sharma, Director, Everest Group of Schools, expressed his happiness over the day.

Cooking-without-flame competition

A cooking-without-flame competition was organised for students of Class XI and XII at Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar. The budding young chefs were given an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills. They demonstrated their ability to make nutritious and delectable food. Principal Mona Singh appreciated the efforts of the students.

Calligraphy competition 

Planet e-school conducted a calligraphy competition to improve the presentation skills and to inculcate the habit of good handwriting among students. All the students from Class I to XI participated in the competition. —TNS
