KULLU: Kullu DFO Neeraj Chadha stated that a team of forest officials conducted raids in Nashala and its surrounding villages in Naggar region of this district and arrested three persons for illegal felling of trees yesterday.

Kullu, February 12

Kullu DFO Neeraj Chadha stated that a team of forest officials conducted raids in Nashala and its surrounding villages in Naggar region of this district and arrested three persons for illegal felling of trees yesterday.

He said a raid was conducted on the premises of Maheshwar Singh of Marhi village and one cubic meter of illegal wood was recovered.

He said 48 scants of deodar wood were recovered from the premises of Lal Chand of Badiragran village. The DFO stated that the investigation was carried out after the reports of illegal felling in the Naggar beat.
