CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Group of Hotels defeated Ranbaxy XI by 20 runs to lift the title of the 5th AG Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament at the cricket stadium of Sector 16 today.

Chandigarh, December 21

The Chandigarh Group of Hotels defeated Ranbaxy XI by 20 runs to lift the title of the 5th AG Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament at the cricket stadium of Sector 16 today.

The winning side posted 172 runs in the allotted slot of 20 overs. The team’s innings was studded with a 47-run contribution by Abhilash and 34-run contribution by Anand. For the bowling side, Nikhil hogged the limelight by grabbing four for 29 runs while JS Pahwa supported him and took three for 28 runs.

Chasing the target, Ranbaxy posted 152 runs with Sumit contributing 40 runs while Vikram contributed 23 runs.

For the bowling side, Faiz claimed two for 32 runs while Adil grabbed one for 24 runs. Arun Sharma, former Ranji trophy player and a selector of Punjab Cricket Association, distributed the prizes among the winners. Rajbir of Kudos was declared best batsman while Pushap was adjudged best bowler.

Abhilash was named as the player of the the 5th AG Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament.
