CM’s OSD fails to meet lawyers

Lawyers demanding transfer of DC RP Gupta and SDM Mandeep Kaur today decided to continue with their stir after Amrinder Singh, OSD to CM, failed to meet them at Bar. They, however, announced to attend judicial courts from tomorrow.

Sources said District Bar president Ashok Gautam received information that the OSD to CM would come to Kaithal Bar to talk to the protesting lawyers. He along with some other lawyers went to the PWD rest house to meet the OSD and demanded transfer of DC RP Gupta and SDM Mandeep Kaur. The OSD assured the lawyers that he would come to the Bar and make announcements on their demands.

The lawyers waited for his arrival, but he did not turn up. When the Bar president contacted the OSD, he said he would come along with MLA Kulwant Bajigar. But Bijagar reportedly refused to accompany the OSD.

The lawyers blamed the MLA for aggravating the situation and decided to continue with their protest.
