Chandigarh: The state government could soon come out with a policy to encourage farmers to invest in crop diversification, promote food processing industries, set up cold store chains and provide better transport infrastructure for agricultural produce.



Chandigarh: The state government could soon come out with a policy to encourage farmers to invest in crop diversification, promote food processing industries, set up cold store chains and provide better transport infrastructure for agricultural produce. During Monday’s Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh watched a presentation on crop diversification and horticulture. The CM holds the charge of agriculture. The crop diversification plan was mentioned in the Congress manifesto. TNS
