Doon Tigers, Rao Academy qualify for cricket quarters

DEHRADUN: Doon Tigers and Rao Cricket Academy qualified for the quarter-finals of the 1st Late Navneet Khanduri and Manoj Kumar Memorial Cricket Tournament played at Ranger’s College ground.

Dehradun, December 24

Doon Tigers and Rao Cricket Academy qualified for the quarter-finals of the 1st Late Navneet Khanduri and Manoj Kumar Memorial Cricket Tournament played at Ranger’s College ground.

The first match of the day was played between Real Host and Doon Tigers. Real Host won the toss and elected to bat first. Real Host set the target of 151 runs in 20 overs, losing 5 wickets. In reply, Doon Tigers reached the total in 19 overs for the loss of 7 wickets and won the match by 3 wickets. In the second match of the day, Rao Cricket Academy elected to bat first and set the target of 124 runs for Royal Cricket Academy.

Royal’s were all out for 112 runs. Rishab and Sanjay of Rao Cricket Academy took 3 wickets each for their team. Rao Academy won the match by 12 runs. Sunil Chauhan and Rajveer Singh were the umpires and Shakti Singh managed the scoreboard.
