Former IPS officer Surinder Singh Sodhi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s sister Prakash Kaur’s daughter Gurjit Kaur Dhath and former skipper of the Indian Hockey Team joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) here today.

National spokesman for the party and Punjab incharge Sanjay Singh accused the NDA government for saving the culprits who engineered the 1984 massacre of Sikhs and also claimed that CM Parkash Singh Badal and his family was also hand in glove with the NDA on this count.

CM Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi to strengthen the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the riots.

“If the NDA is not capable to initiate an impartial probe, then the investigation should be handed over to the Delhi Government,” he added.

AAP spokesman Sukhpal Khaira while referring to the information received under the RTI Act alleged that after politicising the riots for many years, the SAD-BJP alliance was not serious in taking the issue to its logical conclusion.
