A foetus was found abandoned at Maloya yesterday. The police said local residents noticed the foetus lying near a temple in Maloya and informed the police.
The foetus has been kept in the mortuary at Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16.
The police have registered a case under Section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) of the IPC at the Maloya police station.
