Hisar newborn gets PAN card in 9 days

Vaibhav Taneja (in pic)become the youngest PAN card holder, when he got his card nine days after his birth.

Hansi resident Rakesh Taneja, the infant’s father, claimed his son had surpassed the earlier record of getting such a card within ten days of birth. Aahna in Rajkot town of Gujarat had got it in 2013. He said he had made a conscious effort to get the card at the earliest. “It is a lifetime gift from me to him. Besides, I want to open an equity account for my son and PAN card is a necessary for this”, he said.

“Vaibhav was born on April 9. Within 13 hours of his birth, I completed the formalities and applied for the card on the NSDL website on April 10. The card was issued on April 17,” he said. “All the members in my family, including my six- year -old daughter Suhani have their cards. I am in the process of opening the equity account and will deposit all the money he receives as gift from the family members in his account,” he said.
